Cathedral
City,
Calif.-Autoshine, a premier car
care specialist, is collaborating with more than 25 Starbucks Coffee employees
to host the Make Your Mark Car Wash benefiting The Boys & Girls Club
of Cathedral City. The car washing collaboration will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.,
Saturday, June 19 at Autoshine,
35688 Cathedral Canyon
Dr. (located in the
CathedralCanyonBusinessPark
behind City of
Hope.)
Advance ticket sales are available now for $10 at Autoshine,
the IncredibleArtist.Com Gallery and the Cathedral City Boys & Girls Club at
32141 Whispering Palms Trail.
The Starbucks Coffee
location at Vista Chino and
Landau
Boulevard will act as the host sponsor. Starbucks
established the Make Your Mark Program in 2000. The company aims to generate
50,000 hours of employee volunteer hours each year, while contributing $500,000
to organizations across the country.
“Our employees, along with
their friends and family, will be working the event,” said Ciara Teske, event
coordinator and Starbucks manager. “Every store does a Make Your Mark event
three times a year and it helps us to establish relationships within the
community; instead of only with those we see at the
store.”
A
newly-appointed Board member for the Club and Autoshine Owner, Bernie Pfeiffer, is also sponsoring the event.
“The Boys and Girls Club
offers great programs for these kids and a valuable life experience,” Pfeiffer
said. “Children today can get lost and become easily distracted easier than my
generation. All the positive help we can give them will pay
off.”
